Ante nuestros ojos se despliega un oscuro y perturbador abismo que divide a dos destacadas bandas, arraigadas profundamente en el universo del black metal. En un rincón, encontramos a Order of the Wolf, un digno representante del Reino Unido, y en el otro, emerge Pessimista, cuya raíces provienen de las tierras de Brasil.

Order of the Wolf se presenta con un conjunto sólido de 18 minutos de black metal tradicional, que se ve enriquecido con melodías cautivadoras y la influencia subyacente del hardcore y el punk. Sus composiciones son un torbellino crudo y despiadado que rasga el tejido de la realidad con su sonido abrasivo y su actitud venenosa, capaces de despojar la piel a distancia. Estas piezas musicales destilan una bilis ennegrecida, mientras abrazan con firmeza el lado melódico, punk y agresivo del género. Aunque estas canciones pueden ser feroces y llenas de virulencia, no carecen de atmósfera ni de una destreza musical excepcional.

Order of the Wolf ha dejado una impresión duradera y profunda en quienes los escuchan. Su estilo de crudeza underground brilla como una auténtica joya, y es evidente que esta banda no solo irradia autenticidad, sino que también posee una destreza compositiva que sobrepasa a la mayoría. La contribución de Pessimista en este split abarca un período más extenso, con 21 minutos que se adentran en la faceta más atmosférica del black metal. Utilizando sintetizadores, atmósferas envolventes y melodías hipnóticas, el artista detrás de Pessimista crea un espacio sonoro expansivo que atrae al oyente con una facilidad sorprendente. A diferencia de las composiciones de Order of the Wolf, las piezas de Pessimista no son inmediatamente accesibles, pero esto no disminuye su valía; por el contrario, se desarrollan y despliegan sus encantos con el tiempo. La música de Pessimista sirve como un contrapunto valioso al ardor abrasador de Order of the Wolf, permitiendo al oyente explorar a su propio ritmo en lugar de ser arrastrado por la furia.
